I live in an old farmhouse in a small rural village. The village consists of about 250 people.

I am a wife and mother of two girls, 2 ponies and a Flatty! I work full time for a drug company and fit the Championship dog shows in around work and an active life on the pony club circuit with my girls.

Maxwell loves the shows and we get to as many as possible. If I cannot make it then he is taken and shown by his breeder Mike Williams.

During the winter months I am involved in a small shoot where Maxwell is used to pick up game. He is never happier than when he is swimming in water or covered in mud! Typical!

Maxwell is an extremely loving dog. He lives in the house with us as one of the family. He has an excellent temperament and we take him everywhere with us as his favourite place is the back of the car! He is a very bold dog and I have yet to find something or a noise that will phase him. He loves showing and gets very excited the night before a show when I am preparing him and his bag.

Maxwell has a clean bill of health as far as eyes and hips go. He is the proud father of three litters to date.

He gained his JW by 10 months of age. He got a 1st in Special Yearling at Crufts in 1997. He has consistently been placed over the next few years and received his first CC and BOB in June this year at Three Counties Championship Show.

Maxwell was awarded his Gundog working Certificate in November 1997.
