Knauer, John and Sharon Darkdance Reg'd Flatcoated Retrievers |
We live on a small
country property close to Toronto, Ontario, Canada with our disabled son
and our dogs. We both work for a large food company in the manufacturing
and equipment service fields.
We have two flatcoatedretrievers, both female, and we participate in Conformation, Obedience, Retrieving and Agility. Our dogs are clever, witty, fun loving and spoiled. Our disabled son participates in Agility demonstrations with his own dog, a Giant Schnauzer, his constant companion and well respected guardian. |

Devon is very serious for a Flatcoat. She is the undisputed 'queen' of the dog family here and rules her small pack with tolerant firmness. She loves to retrieve and swim. She also likes to go to Conformation shows where she can strut around like an empress. We recently introduced her to Agility which she took very seriously to begin with. By the end of the summer, however, she was jumping and weaving with lots of tail wagging enthusiasm. Devon will be having her first litter this winter and we are all looking forward to the puppies. She will be continuing in competitive obedience after her litter and getting ready to compete in the Canadian Senior Hunter tests next summer. |

Fen is an energetic, playful, busy, busy dog. She loves to retrieve and swim and especially loves Agility. She is the 'baby' of the dog family and is constantly looking for something or someone to play with. She recently finished her Conformation Championship but it was very hard work to get her to stand still to be examined. She wags her tail so hard that she cannot keep her rear end from moving but most judges found that charming. Fen is very 'birdy' and loves to hunt up pheasant and other game birds...she always knows where they are. She will be continuing in competitive obedience and preparing for her Canadian Junior Hunter title next summer.. Awards.
