Retired in Bayfield, Wisconsin (way "up north' on Lake Superior), USA..... the perfect spot for us. In the Summer and Fall, we sail, hike with the dogs and work on our house (unfortunately, not in that order). In the Winter (our favorite season), we downhill and cross country ski, snowshoe with the dogs, and work on the house (also not in that order). Most Springs we tap our maples and make syrup and sugar..... a labor intensive (but tasty) activity. Other activities include: John volunteers on several municipal boards and I volunteer one day a week at the local Carnegie library and visit nursing homes and schools with the FCRs. I am the secretary (for life) of our visiting pet therapy group, Lake Superior Paws For Love, Inc. Our sweet little worrier. She is the most consistantly 'obedient' of the three - her recalls are absolute, no matter what she is on the trail of. She loves the seniors and nursing home visits. On treks, she quarters in search of partridge and puddles through which to tromp. No matter where we hike, she is a water seeker/dowsing rod. |

Lindsay is Queen (a benevolent one) of the canines and self-appointed retriever of all thrown objects. She enjoys schools visits (Dog Bite Prevention presentation) - especially the interactive session at the end. She lets the kids lead her round on the leash, and responds to their sit, heel, shake commands. On our daily treks, she is a 'roller in things decaying' - sometimes disgusting.n sweeps and 4th in 6-9 month class at the '99 specialty |
